Dania Pulido is a junior majoring in English-Communication Arts at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. She has just started her second semester as the entertainment editor for her school newspaper, The Rattler. Before that, she wrote several articles for the commentary and features sections of The Rattler. In 2010, she won the award for “Most Dedicated Reporter of the Year” and she has worked with San Antonio Express-News reporter John Maccormack on an article he published about the drug cartels and border wars in Mexico. Her article on 2010 Lt. Governor candidate Linda Chavez-Thompson was published by NOWcastSA.com and adopted by Chavez-Thompson’s campaign. The article was then distributed to Chavez-Thompson’s supporters in an effort to get them to donate money to her campaign. Dania is also the social chairperson of her sorority, Delta Zeta, and was named a Rose Scholar in the Fall of 2010 for maintaing a G.P.A. of 3.3 or above. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and volunteers her time as an assistant basketball coach for a children’s Christian sports league.
